Confirmation 2017-2018 Registration

August 1st - September 17th, 2017

$100 - $200

Jesus commands us to both baptize and teach. Through baptism, God gives us faith, new life and the assurance of salvation. But after baptism, Christians need to be taught more about their faith.

God gives parents the responsibility of teaching the faith to their children. Parents, your example of worship, prayer and Christian living speaks volumes to your children. Our job at Bethany is to assist you in this huge responsibility.

Students, Confirmation is a big step in a lifelong journey of growing in faith. You won't learn everything in these two years. But it's a start! We pray that God continues to teach you more and more about His Word, His World and His Church throughout your life. But for now, let the learning begin!

Confirmation at Bethany is for 9th and 10th graders on Sunday morning @ 9:30 AM. Classes are held September through April.

Payment options available.

Confirmation Mini Retreat (1st year Students)

August 20th, 2017

On Sunday, August 20th 1:30-3:30 we are having a mini confirmation retreat for all first year students and parents. Please join us in the Community Life Center Youth Room.

The students will spend the time with Landon getting acquainted and getting acclimated with things they need to know for the upcoming year. We will also go over acolyte training. We ask that all students make time for this event.

Everyone should wear comfortable clothing.

During the same time we ask that all parents meet with Pastor Knippa in the CLC area as he will take time to talk, visit, and answer questions about the life of a high school teenager. He will be giving key information about things you will want to know about teenager development as your student gets ready to enter high school.

Parenting Workshop: Is This Normal? Part 1

September 16th, 2017

As parents we focus a lot about physical and intellectual milestones.

When should our child be walking? When should they start reading? What should we expect when they hit puberty et. al.

But what about their emotional, social, and spiritual development?

Are your children emotionally on track?

When should they be able to manage their emotions?

Are you children socially on track?

When do they begin to empathize?

Are they spiritually on track?

When does faith become their own and how do you get there?

On September 16 we will explore emotional milestones throughout the lifespan of children and early childhood spiritual milestones.

This free workshop is from 10am - noon and childcare is provided.

Location: Bethany Lutheran Church Community Life Center Youth Room
